A New Normal

Since my last post, we've had some changes in our lives and we are getting to our new normal. On July1st, we bought a farm on five acres. We have three "neighbors" but their houses are still pretty far away since they're on acreage also. We have a corn field next to us on one side.

View from upstairs - the neighbors are bailing the hay.

My husband was laid off the same day we closed on the house and in August, we filled our chicken coop with chickens for eggs.

I went back to work teaching middle school science and the twins started preschool so hubby could look for jobs and get us settled in.
